Studio Footlights

The new venture - a great success

Studio Footlights has been set up as an additional string to Footlights bow to complement the mainstream Footlights productions at the Grand.  It allows us to offer plays that are better suited to the informal , intimate setting of a studio theatre whilst retaining the high quality support already established at the Grand Theatre. 

The venue we have chosen for our studio performances is the Gregson Community and Arts Centre, about a ¼ mile away from the Grand.  Tickets will be on sale in the normal way from the Grand Theatre box office, on line via the Grand Theatre website: lancastergrand.co.uk or at the door of the Gregson on the night of the performance.  Pre purchased tickets can be collected either in advance from the box office or at the Gregson on the night of the performance.  The tickets have been competitively priced and a rolling programme of three plays each year is being planned.

The first production was be “The Pillow Man” by Martin McDonagh staged in May.  Ticket were in great demand and the last night was a sell out with customers waiting for any cancellations.  Watch out for the next production planned for October.
